Polly has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning more than 20 years as a Private and Executive Assistant at the highest level, working within some of the most dynamic and influential organisations in the UK and overseas. In 2012, she founded Hang up the Moon®, her private PA business, bringing together exceptional organisational expertise, discretion and an unrivalled network of contacts.
Since launching Hang up the Moon®, Polly has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients, all introduced through word of mouth. These include high-profile media figures, HNW individuals, celebrities, Parliamentary members, FTSE 100 company Directors, chefs, film-makers and entrepreneurs. She has also collaborated closely with leading institutions and organisations such as the House of Lords, Brunswick LLP, the National Gallery, the Wellcome Collection, the National Trust, the Woodland Trust, the Natural History Museum, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and TeenTech CIC.
Polly trained at the renowned St Aldate’s Secretarial College in Oxford before studying French and Spanish at Liverpool University, graduating with a BA Honours degree. Her studies included a year living in Granada, Andalusia, and were followed by professional roles in Barcelona and Sydney, where she worked for the Australian Rugby Union and Citibank.
On returning to London, Polly joined Saatchi & Saatchi, where she worked across the EMEA region and gained valuable insight into the creative and design process through close involvement with client briefs. In 2008, she was appointed Executive Assistant to Sir Mark Thompson, then Director-General of the BBC — a role requiring exceptional professionalism, judgement and resilience, and offering unparalleled exposure to the world of broadcasting at its highest level.
Following a period in South Devon working for Sharpham Winery on the River Dart, Polly is now based in South Buckinghamshire, just outside London.
Highly organised, proactive and resourceful, Polly is known for her discretion, loyalty and versatility, alongside a calm approach and good sense of humour. She thrives on challenge and is widely regarded as a trusted, intuitive and highly effective partner.
Outside work, Polly’s passions include interior design and homemaking, yoga and Pilates, boxing, gardening, music and playing the piano. A self-confessed country girl and dog-lover, she is deeply connected to the natural world and relishes time spent close to water, mountains and nature. A keen traveller, she always welcomes opportunities to use her languages.
